The Museum, established as a separate branch of the Museum Ladin of San Martin in Badia, extends over three floors: on the top floor the exhibition begins with the formation of The Dolomites, presenting the wonderul fossils which characterise the San Cassiano area.
It then develops to tell the story of the formation of The Cave, the story of its discovery and the follow-up research. And through the exhibition of original remains and items there is a presentation of many of the aspects of the life of the bears in The Cave. On the lower floor of the museum you can see ‘The Bear’s Cave’. This is a reconstruction of some aspects of the Conturines Cave, and it is where you can also admire “The Sleeping Bear”.
